Session Fees

I strive to make sessions accessible and transparent. Below, you’ll find details about session fees, payment options, and important insurance considerations. If you need to discuss payment arrangements, please reach out before your session.

Individual Sessions: $150.00 per session
Couples Sessions: $175.00 per session
Sliding Scale Options: Available (see graphic below)

Fees may be adjusted in specific situations—please contact me if cost is a concern.

Third-Party Payments (NIHB & Victim Services)

NIHB (Non-Insured Health Benefits for First Nations & Inuit)

I am an NIHB provider and offer direct billing for eligible clients.
To set up NIHB coverage, please provide:
- Full Name
- Status Number
If you’re unsure about your NIHB coverage, you can check with Indigenous Services Canada or reach out to me for guidance.

Victim Services – VQRP (Victim Quick Response Program)

If you are receiving funding through Victim Services (VQRP), I can directly invoice VQRP for your sessions.
To use this coverage, please provide:
- A referral from VQRP, confirming your eligibility and approved session coverage.

📌 If you are covered by another third-party payer (e.g., workplace benefits, auto insurance claims, or legal funding), please reach out to discuss direct billing or reimbursement options.

Sliding Scale & Financial Accessibility

I understand that financial situations vary, and I want to make therapy as accessible as possible. To help with this, I offer a sliding scale option.
The sliding scale uses a "bucket" system, where you can review different financial situations and decide which bucket best fits your current circumstances.

If you feel a reduced rate is necessary, please review the sliding scale graphic and let me know which bucket aligns with your situation. No proof of income is required—this operates on an honour system.

Payment & Invoicing

Invoicing

Invoices are sent after your appointment via the Jane system.
Payment is required within 24 hours of your session (before or after).
If you require a longer timeframe due to insurance reimbursement, please let me know in advance.

E-Transfer: Send to PattiBroadfoot@protonmail.com (No password required)
Credit Card: Accepted via the Jane system
Direct Billing: Available for NIHB and Victim Services (VQRP) clients

Insurance Coverage & What to Ask Your Provider

If you plan to use insurance, it’s helpful to check the details of your coverage. Here are key questions to ask your provider:

Do you cover services by a Registered Social Worker (BSW)? (Some providers only cover MSW—please confirm!)
What percentage of the session fee is covered?
Do I need to pay upfront and submit for reimbursement?
What is my annual coverage limit? (Calendar year vs. fiscal year?)
